It really annoys me that many governments the world over are not taking this seriously. I would suggest it is prudent to err on the side of caution.

Though I resepct David King and generally subscribe to his views, I have to admit that I am a little uncomfortable about this statement coming from him. He’s a physical scientist (and obviously a good one!), not a social scientist or a historian, so I don’t he’s qualified to make such bold statements. Knowing the media though, I can easily imagine how this one part of his lecture was latched onto by reporters and made headlines of, without him actually meaning it to be that way.
