“We support over 35 servers and 400 clients in Rarotonga and have been buying replacement equipment from Transend for several years. Transend are competitive with their pricing and extremely efficient and responsive with all their dealings. In this hot and sometimes dusty climate things can fail regularly and given that vendors do not provide on-site support over here, Transend has been critical in facilitating the hardware failure support requirements. It’s not until things go wrong that you really start to understand the value companies like Transend provide. I would recommend Transend to anybody wishing to have a methodical, knowledgeable, competitive and trusted supplier for IT hardware and software equipment” Mathias Wittwer – HiTech Ltd
Matt Johnson from Transend gave a presentation at the Energy Management Association of NZ (EMANZ) forum “Energy Risk for IT Managers” on 29 August 2011. His presentation covered Green IT issues, energy management software for pc’s and summarised an audit of Kiwibank with respect to PC Energy management. Matt spoke to a mixed audience of IT Managers, Facilities Managers and Energy Auditors. Matt’s talked about taking responsibility for inefficiencies and how easy it is to save without being over technical about it. His delivery was clear and concise and he held the audience’s attention well. EMANZ received positive feedback about the presentation. EMANZ has asked Matt to present an online webinar since his approach is likely to appeal to our members.Jenny Walton - Training and Development ManagerEnergy Management Association of New Zealand (EMANZ)
